A project commissioned by the brand 'Thaapo' which specializes in the art of eco printing. Eco Printing is a technique where leaves and flowers are placed on natural fabrics (cottons, silks) and steamed. As a result the surface textures, colors and patterns of the leaves/flowers transfers onto the fabric. No two designs are same for obvious reasons- each leaf and flower is hand picked and no two of them can ever be the same. For this particular collection the focus was on select print patterns from Neem leaves, Marigold petals, Eucalyptus leaves and some natural dyes.
The illustrations focused mainly on the motif placements and color study. The tricky part was getting that soft tone to each color.
